1. A business suit – definitely

Whether your job requires you to wear a coat and tie to your work or not, every man must have at least one suit in their closet that they could wear in short notice. It is an advantage for you when you have a business suit that you could wear; preferably it would be in the darker colors like navy blue or black.

As you may have already noticed, dressing up for the job or the job you are applying for kind of helps. A good suit always improves one's appearance no matter what. Think of it as your very own superhero outfit; better yet think of it as James Bond's tuxedo. Do you think he would look as dashing and as good looking if he only had a pair of shorts and a t-shirt on? Perhaps not. Whatever the purpose may be, it is always best for you to come prepared and dressed for success whenever the need arises.

2. Some denims for all those times you want to dress down.

Nobody likes to wear a pair of slacks every single day. When work is over or when it is the weekend, having a pair of jeans that you could put on will definitely help you unwind and distance yourself from all the pressures and stresses that work brings.

There is something about dressing down that makes you feel more relaxed, more yourself and more easy going. Besides, ladies love a man in a pair of jeans – whenever the occasion calls for it that is. When you're out in the park for a walk or on a night out on the town, having a pair of jeans on would make you look like you're out to have fun and not out for some business dinner.

3. A nice dress shirt

Dress shirts can be paired with all sorts of bottoms, whether these are slacks or jeans or sometimes even some shorts. Having a nice dress shirt in your closet also means that you have something nice to wear under that coat to match whatever suit you have on.
