Five Suit Items To Complete The Look

Ever heard the saying that clothes make the man? This is actually something that is quite true especially when it comes to men in business suits. It isn't easy and it's not cheap either for a man to dress to the nine only to represent how dominant he is in the business world. Nevertheless, it is something that happens and if you are wondering what kind of clothes you should be buying, it all starts with a suit; and all the things that comprise it.

• Undergarments – First of all, underwear is more than just about boxers or briefs. A modern man also invests in undershirts and vests as this keeps one's sweat from affecting any outer garments that should be protected from the elements as well as body odor. And, of course, if this is underwear for business attire, it's best to invest in single colors like black, white or even gray.

• Pants – It cannot be stressed enough that you need to get the right pair of pants. Sure, the material might be the same as the jacket or vest of your suit, but it's all about the measurements. What you need to get are a pair that are just right in length and in waist measurements. These shouldn't be too long, too short, too tight or too loose. The more comfortable they are the better because comfort should be your priority. It's always a wise decision to make sure you have the right hooks to hold a belt even if you don't wear one. You never know when you just might need it.

• Jacket – There are actually different cuts when it comes to choosing a good jacket to complete your suit. You can opt for a single or double-breasted jacket. A double-breasted suit differs in that it has two parallel rows of buttons and this can actually boast the conservative side of you, if that is something that you would like. It all depends on how you want to wear the suit. If you think you might need shoulder-pads, you can have a tailor install them into the jacket as well. If you opt for a three-piece suit, you might even have to decide on a waistcoat.

• Shirt & Tie – One of the most essential pieces in a suit is the tie. This is actually the most powerful part of the suit and could perhaps define who you are. You have probably heard of power ties that come in bold and solid colors like black, deep red, slate gray or even pink like Donald Trump's tie which he is known for. Think about the color that defines you the most and that should be the color of the tie that you buy. The shirt should traditionally be white but you can also get something that is the same color of your suit.

• Shoes – Lastly, another defining piece of clothing is shoes. Shoes are something that you will most likely spend a lot on and you should. The more expensive and the better looking your shoes are, the more attention you get not only from your peers but from the opposite sex as well. Learn how to dress in a suit and you should make it up the corporate ladder along with your skills in no time.
